Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?
No. Conversion happens entirely on your iPhone or iPad. See the privacy policy.
What's free and what's Pro?
Converting and previewing are always free. You can export 2 different documents per month for free, and re-exporting one you already exported is free. Pro unlocks unlimited exports.
How do I restore my subscription on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple Account you subscribed with: the app recognizes Pro automatically. If it still shows FREE, the Pro screen appears when you export and has a “Restore Purchases” button.
How do I cancel?
Go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > PDF to JSON Pro > Cancel Subscription. You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for.
How do I get a refund?
Purchases are handled by Apple. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com.
My PDF is a scan. Does it work?
Yes. Scanned and photographed pages are read with on-device OCR and marked as such in the JSON, with a confidence score per block. Sharp, straight scans give the best results.
The PDF has a password.
The app asks for it and uses it only to open the file on your device. It is never stored.
Can I automate conversions?
Yes. Use the “Convert PDF to JSON” action in the Shortcuts app or ask Siri. It works without opening the app.
Where does each piece of the JSON come from?
In the JSON preview, tap “View in PDF” next to any block to see its exact place on the original page.
